Dr. Ajay Bhandari is a board-certified interventional cardiologist dedicated to delivering exceptional, patient-centered cardiovascular care. Originally from Los Angeles, California, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology with Departmental Honors from California State University, Los Angeles. He then moved to Chicago, where he completed a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences before earning his Doctor of Medicine from the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University.
Following medical school, Dr. Bhandari relocated to Tampa, Florida, where he completed his Internal Medicine Residency, Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship, Interventional Cardiology Fellowship, and Structural Heart Disease Fellowship at the University of South Florida. He is board certified in General Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiology.
Dr. Bhandari specializes in advanced minimally invasive cardiovascular procedures, including cardiac catheterizations (including coronary artery stent placement), transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), left atrial appendage occlusion, mitral valve edge-to-edge repair (M-TEER), and patent foramen ovale (PFO) closure. He is passionate about utilizing the latest innovations in cardiovascular medicine to treat complex heart conditions, improve quality of life, and help patients achieve longer, healthier lives.
