Professional Background
Professional BackgroundRobert Betzu, MD, is board-certified in internal medicine with subspecialty certification in cardiovascular diseases from the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is proud to provide care to patients at Bay Area Cardiology Associates PA in Brandon, Sun City Center, Riverview, and Tampa, Florida.Dr. Betzu received his medical doctorate from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in Zapopan, Mexico. He then completed his residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, New York, followed by a two-year fellowship in cardiology. His previous teaching appointments include the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine as a Visiting Clinical Assistant Professor, and SUNY Downstate Medical School in Brooklyn, New York, as an Assistant Clinical Instructor. Prior to private practice in Brandon, Florida, Dr. Betzu held the position of Associate Chief of Cardiology at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, New York.Dr. Betzu is accepting new patients and welcomes them to Bay Area Cardiology Associates PA.
